Saudi pavilion highlights 75 investment deals in Shanghai
Saudi Arabia launched its national pavilion at Transport Logistic China 2026 in Shanghai, showcasing "more than 75 investment opportunities" and signing seven memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements with Chinese partners on the opening day. The pavilion, organised under the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) in coordination with Invest Saudi, brought together 25 national entities from the transport, logistics and investment sectors to promote strategic projects aimed at attracting foreign capital and accelerating industrial diversification under Saudi Vision 2030.
"More than 75 investment opportunities" were presented across transport, logistics and industrial sectors, with the pavilion hosting specialised workshops and executive meetings to connect investors and government officials. A featured workshop titled "Moving Forward" convened transport and port sector officials to address supply chain resilience, public-private integration and innovation in logistics.
On the opening day, the seven signed agreements covered a range of strategic priorities. Key among them was a partnership between the NIDLP and Huawei focused on human capital development. Another agreement paired Elm with SUTPC to develop digital solutions for smart cities. Additional collaborations announced at the pavilion included electric mobility initiatives and an agreement to establish a tire manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia, reflecting the Kingdom's push to expand manufacturing capacity and localise supply chains.
