Investments in completed Dubai property projects top $30bn in first half of 2026
Investments in completed Dubai property projects reached Dh111 billion ($30.2bn) in H1 2026 as 104 projects completed, driven by major developers like Dar Global and Nakheel and strong investor appetite for delivered assets.

Investments in completed real estate projects in Dubai reached Dh111 billion ($30.2 billion) in the first half of 2026, a 52 per cent increase year‑on‑year, as the number of finished developments climbed to 104, up nearly 39 per cent from 75 in the same period of 2025. Residential supply from those completions exceeded 24,500 units — a 36 per cent rise — while built-up areas ready for handover expanded to about 1.95 million square metres.
“The significant increase in the volume of real estate transactions, the number of projects and the value of investment inflows into these projects represents a renewed vote of confidence from the global business community and investors in the strength of Dubai’s economic environment,” said Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.
Details and drivers of the mid‑year surge
The Dubai Land Department data underpinning the mid‑year figures show land allocated for completed developments more than doubled to roughly one million square metres, with the value of land earmarked for developments surging 135 per cent to Dh19.46 billion (about $5.3 billion). Built-up areas that are complete and ready for handover rose by nearly a quarter, underlining a move from construction to delivery in several large schemes.
Major developers and contractors remain active across the emirate. Dar Global recently awarded a major contract to Gulf Asia Contracting to construct the podium for the $1 billion Trump International Hotel and Tower, while Nakheel began handing over 892 villas and townhouses at the redeveloped Jebel Ali Village near Ibn Battuta Mall. These projects illustrate a mix of luxury hospitality, mid‑market residential and community regeneration activity driving volumes.
The property sector’s resilience has been highlighted despite regional instability linked to the Iran war, with investors continuing to deploy capital into completed assets rather than speculative land or off‑plan schemes alone. The rise in completed project investment was accompanied by growth in transaction volumes, reflecting both developer deliveries and stronger absorption in the sales and handover phases.

Market commentators and firms such as Arada, which publishes a UAE Property Investment Index, have pointed to the emirate’s ability to retain investor interest and ranking as a leading real estate investment destination even amid recent challenges. Sheikh Hamdan framed the trend as part of “continued comprehensive urban development that keeps pace with population and economic growth and future requirements, in line with the highest standards of quality of life.”
Outlook
With a sizeable pipeline of handovers now completing and high‑profile contracts proceeding, the near‑term focus will be on absorption rates, secondary market performance and how newly completed stock impacts prices and rents. Continued delivery by developers such as Dar Global and Nakheel, alongside investor confidence signalled by rising land values, suggests momentum will persist into the second half of 2026 — provided macroeconomic and geopolitical conditions remain manageable.
