UMAMI Launches AI-Powered Learning Operating System for MENA Institutions

UMAMI E-Learning Solutions has launched LOS™ (Learning Operating System), an AI-powered learning infrastructure aimed at governments, ministries and large-scale institutions across the Middle East and North Africa. The Cairo-based company is backing the rollout with a phased investment plan exceeding EGP 50 million and says the platform is designed to link learning activities with workforce development and measurable organisational outcomes at national and regional scale.

UMAMI developed LOS™ after working on learning and workforce development initiatives in more than 35 countries and repeatedly finding institutions that invested heavily in training without a unified operating layer to convert those investments into measurable workforce readiness. LOS™ is positioned as an operating layer for learning and workforce development — analogous to how enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems structure business operations and customer relationship management (CRM) systems manage customers — bringing learning, skills, performance and decision-making together within a single ecosystem.

The LOS™ launch follows UMAMI’s recognition as one of the first companies in Egypt to receive the official Startup Label Certificate under the national Startup Charter. The Charter evaluates companies on innovation, technological reliance, scalability and investment readiness and aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 goal of building a knowledge-based, innovation-driven economy. The national initiative aims to support up to 5,000 startups and create approximately 500,000 direct and indirect jobs while accelerating access to international markets over the next five years.
