The GCC Menopause Hub has announced its first Abu Dhabi summit, scheduled for Saturday, 6th June 2026, bringing Abu Dhabi-based medical experts to a 200-strong audience. The capital event follows the organisation’s second sell-out Dubai summit last October and will feature two main keynotes, panel discussions, roundtables, and multiple activations covering fitness, nutrition and careers. The summit is now officially CPD-accredited, positioning it as a professional development opportunity for HR practitioners and business leaders interested in the workplace impact of menopause.

"We are really looking forward to our first Abu Dhabi Menopause Summit and are proud announce our Headline partnership with SAKINA, the specialised mental health network under SEHA, a subsidiary of PureHealth, and also our partnership with Harley Street Medical Centre," said Sharon James, Co-Founder of The GCC Menopause Hub. "Expanding into other emirates has always been our goal so that we can reach the many women who need expert knowledge and personalised support. ... The fact that the event is also recognised by CPD is a fantastic milestone that we have been working hard to achieve, and we hope this will help improve understanding in workplaces."

Context and format

The Abu Dhabi summit will emphasise interaction and practical guidance: in addition to two keynote addresses, the programme is structured around panel discussions and roundtables with ample time for attendees to ask questions. Visitors can also expect on-site activations focused on fitness, nutrition, careers and other wellbeing activities. The event explicitly aligns with the UAE’s Year of Family by including an in-depth conversation on menopause and its impact on the whole family, intended to normalise dialogue across generations.

  • Date: Saturday, 6th June 2026
  • Projected audience: 200 attendees
  • Format: two main keynotes, panels, roundtables, activations
  • CPD accreditation: confirmed — pitched at HR practitioners and business leaders

Topics listed on the summit agenda include defining menopause, longevity and nutrition, menopause and cancer, ADHD and menopause, financial wellbeing and workplace impact, and taking a holistic approach. The summit also builds on The GCC Menopause Hub’s wider community work, including the Woman in Motion initiative, which Sharon James said brings "women together to move, connect, and share their experiences."

Partnerships, sponsors and expert backing

The summit’s headline partnership is with SAKINA — described in organiser materials as the specialised mental health network under SEHA, a subsidiary of PureHealth — alongside Harley Street Medical Centre. Sponsors named in the press materials include SAKINA, Harley Street Medical Centre and Real Fit, with community support from the British Chamber of Commerce Abu Dhabi.

Commenting on SAKINA’s involvement, Dr Zain Al Yafei, Chief Executive Officer - SAKINA, said: "At SAKINA, we recognise that a woman’s mental health is no less important than her physical wellbeing, particularly during significant life stages such as menopause. Our participation in the GCC Menopause Summit reflects our commitment to raising awareness and ensuring access to the specialised psychological support that empowers women to navigate this journey with confidence and resilience, further solidifying SAKINA’s position as a leading provider of integrated and innovative mental healthcare in Abu Dhabi."

Dr. Hady Jerdak, Chief Executive Officer, Specialist Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases & Sleep Disorders at Harley Street Medical Centre added: "For us at Harley Street Medical Centre, menopause isn’t a moment - it’s a journey that deserves empathy, expertise, and ongoing support. We are honoured to contribute to the Summit and help ensure women receive the care and clarity they need to thrive during this stage of life."
