Tencent Cloud Partners with Logistics Platform TruKKer in Saudi Amid Regional Expansion

Tencent Cloud has signed a partnership with TruKKer to migrate the logistics platform to Tencent Cloud’s Saudi Arabia region and adopt CodeBuddy, Tencent’s AI-powered coding assistant, as part of a strategic initiative to transform TruKKer’s DevOps practices and operations. The agreement, announced in Riyadh on Aug. 27, 2026, follows Tencent Cloud’s 2025 investment in a Middle East cloud region in Saudi Arabia backed by a business operation commitment of more than US$150 million and the company’s attainment of a Class C cloud services license from the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST).

The deal will see TruKKer, described in the announcement as MENA’s largest digital freight network, migrate its platform to local Tencent Cloud infrastructure to ensure "guaranteed truck availability, real-time visibility, and competitive pricing at scale." Context and regional AI momentum

The partnership coincides with broader AI adoption trends in Saudi Arabia. The announcement cites that 45.2% of internet users in the Kingdom have adopted AI tools, while 33.1% of Saudi companies are using AI technologies — a year-on-year increase of 20 percentage points for enterprises. Analysts referenced in the announcement value the national cloud computing market at approximately US$5.5 billion in 2026, with projections to reach US$11.47 billion by 2031.

• Tencent Hy3, the company’s latest model using a hybrid Mixture-of-Experts architecture, was made available internationally in August and is accessible under an Apache 2.0 license for global developer platforms and open-source communities.
• Since its global rollout, Hy3 has recorded more than 68 times as many API calls as Tencent’s previous-generation model, and is available through WorkBuddy, Tencent Design Miora, and TokenHub.
• Tencent Cloud’s global footprint includes 68 availability zones across 24 regions and more than 3,200 acceleration nodes worldwide; its Saudi Arabia region launched in 2025 with two availability zones.

Outlook

The TruKKer migration and adoption of CodeBuddy exemplify how logistics firms in the region are turning to cloud and AI tools to scale operations and improve service levels. For Tencent Cloud, the deal reinforces its local presence after securing the highest CST certification tier and committing significant capital to Saudi infrastructure. For TruKKer, the move aims to combine regional data residency with AI-assisted development to improve platform reliability and operational efficiency as demand for digital freight services grows across the EMEA and MENA corridors.
