talabat renews strategic sponsorship of CODED’s Academy X to support women in tech in Kuwait

talabat has renewed its strategic sponsorship of Academy X, the women-focused technology and entrepreneurship programme led by CODED Academy in Kuwait, marking the third consecutive year of support. The renewed partnership aims to nurture national talent, advance digital literacy and entrepreneurship among girls aged 14–18, and align with Kuwait’s broader Vision 2035 goals for economic diversification and innovation.

“Empowering the next generation of female leaders in STEM remains a core pillar of talabat’s social responsibility strategy. talabat is proud to renew our partnership with CODED Academy for the third consecutive year. By equipping these young women with future-focused skills, emerging technologies, and practical industry knowledge, we aim to build their confidence and empower them to innovate, create, and lead. Our investment in youth is ultimately an investment in Kuwait’s digital future,” said Amal Bukhamseen, Manager of Corporate Affairs at talabat Kuwait.

The programme, described by CODED’s leadership as Kuwait’s largest women’s empowerment initiative in the technology and entrepreneurship sectors, provides a curriculum built around app and web development, user interface and user experience design (UI/UX), leadership, soft skills and entrepreneurial fundamentals. A new component for this cycle introduces dedicated sessions on Claude (AI), training participants on effective prompt-writing to build functional AI-enabled applications and explore AI’s role in marketing, business development and digital innovation.

“Academy X is more than a training program; it’s a platform that opens new horizons for young women to experience innovation and shape the future. We believe that AI and technology skills are no longer an optional luxury, but rather an essential tool for success in various fields, from entrepreneurship and marketing to design and digital solutions development,” said Hashim Behbehani, Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of CODED, at the launch press conference. “At CODED, we work to foster an environment that empowers participants with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to transform their ideas into tangible projects and achievements. The successes we witness year after year from Academy X graduates confirm the immense potential of young Kuwaiti women when given the right opportunities and support.”

Programme organisers say the updated syllabus will help participants aged 14–18 engage with some of the latest tools and technologies shaping global markets. The Claude (AI) sessions are designed to teach practical prompt-engineering skills that can be applied across disciplines, enabling students to prototype AI-enhanced solutions for entrepreneurship, marketing campaigns and product design. Practical, project-based learning remains central: graduates are expected to leave with demonstrable projects and improved employability or entrepreneurial readiness.

The sponsorship is part of talabat’s broader corporate social responsibility activities across the Middle East and North Africa, where the company positions itself as a leading everyday app. By targeting female youth in Kuwait, the renewed partnership seeks to close gender gaps in STEM pathways and build a pipeline of skilled talent that can contribute to national innovation objectives.

Looking ahead, stakeholders say continued public-private collaboration will be key to scaling initiatives like Academy X. talabat’s multi-year commitment signals sustained private-sector investment in grassroots tech education, while CODED intends to monitor graduate outcomes to quantify the programme’s impact on entrepreneurship, employment and digital skill acquisition among Kuwaiti women. With the addition of AI-focused content and ongoing industry backing, Academy X aims to broaden opportunities for participants to convert training into startups, jobs or community innovations aligned with Kuwait’s Vision 2035 ambitions.
