Stellaria Raises $6.8 Million at a $114 Million Valuation
UAE-based deep-tech startup Stellaria (formerly Farmin) raised AED 25 million (~$6.8M) in a seed round at a AED 420 million (~$114.4M) valuation to scale its AI and geospatial intelligence platform.

UAE-based deep-tech startup Stellaria, formerly known as Farmin, has closed a seed funding round of AED 25 million (approximately $6.8 million) led by a group of angel investors and valuing the company at AED 420 million (about $114.4 million). The capital will be used to scale the company’s AI and geospatial intelligence stack, grow its technical team, and accelerate commercial deployment across the UAE and international markets.
“This funding represents an important milestone in Stellaria’s journey and reflects our investors’ confidence in our technology and the team behind it,” said Dr. Ali Al Hammadi, Founder and CEO of Stellaria. He added that the company has evolved from a UAE-based startup into a company developing an integrated AI-powered geospatial operating system that brings together satellite data, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics within a single platform.
Product and technology focus
Stellaria develops an AI-powered operating system that transforms satellite imagery and geospatial data into actionable intelligence and analytical insights. The company combines geospatial data with advanced AI models and analytical workflows to enable monitoring, analysis and understanding of real-world change at scale through a unified platform called Stella.
- AI-powered satellite imagery analysis
- Super-resolution technology
- Automated target recognition
- Maritime and port intelligence
- Satellite-based bathymetry
- Environmental monitoring
Stellaria positions these capabilities to serve government, defence, maritime and port operations, infrastructure monitoring and environmental assessment. The startup says its stack turns large volumes of raw geospatial information into insights usable by governments, businesses and infrastructure operators.
Founding background and ecosystem links
Founded by Dr. Ali Al Hammadi, Stellaria previously operated as Farmin and has taken part in the Innovation Accelerator Program of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund, where it received mentorship, strategic guidance and stakeholder connections. The company’s rebrand and expansion follow development across space, AI and geospatial intelligence, reflecting a push to combine satellite data with machine learning and analytics in a cohesive platform.
The recent AED 25 million raise came from a syndicate of angel investors; the company did not disclose individual backers in its announcement. Stellaria says the funds will be applied to advancing scalable products capable of competing globally and to hiring specialised talent to accelerate technical development and international commercialisation.
Outlook
With a valuation of AED 420 million, Stellaria aims to use the new capital to accelerate deployment of its Stella platform beyond the UAE and into international markets. The firm plans investments across advanced technology development, talent acquisition and market entry efforts, targeting more automated, real-time intelligence use cases derived from satellite imagery and geospatial data. The company’s roadmap prioritises turning high-volume geospatial inputs into operational insights for clients in maritime, infrastructure, environmental monitoring and defence sectors.
