Qatar VC favours Asia and Turkey over pricier Silicon Valley
Qatar’s Rasmal Ventures, led by partner Soumaya Ben Beya Dridje, is prioritising investments in East Asia and Turkey over Silicon Valley, backing startups like Roamless and Nexx while targeting $100 million in pledges. The Doha-headquartered fund has made seven investments and focuses on tech businesses with international revenues to mitigate local currency risk.
