Rasmal Ventures appoints Narrative One as communications partner
Rasmal Ventures, Qatar’s first homegrown independent venture capital firm, has appointed Narrative One as its strategic communications partner to lead media relations and investor-facing positioning as it expands beyond the Gulf.

DOHA, QATAR — Rasmal Ventures, Qatar’s first independent homegrown venture capital firm, has appointed Narrative One as its strategic communications partner to lead media relations and public positioning as the firm expands beyond the Gulf. The engagement embeds Narrative One as Rasmal’s communications function, with the specialist firm tasked to support Rasmal’s cross-border investment narrative and investor-facing positioning.
“We believe that great companies are built on great execution, but they break through on great storytelling — and helping our founders master that is one of the most underrated ways we add value as investors at Rasmal Ventures. We needed a partner that can operate at the same speed we do and Narrative One stood out immediately,” said Soumaya Ben Beya Dridje, Partner, Rasmal Ventures.
The appointment comes as Rasmal positions itself at the centre of what it describes as an accelerating capital corridor between Qatar, the Gulf and global markets. Rasmal Ventures is licensed by the Qatar Financial Centre and counts sovereign investors including the Qatar Investment Authority among its backers. The firm deploys capital across the Gulf and internationally, focusing on Series A and B rounds and prioritising founders with a demonstrated go-to-market path into the Middle East.
- Narrative One will manage Rasmal’s media relations, narrative development and public positioning for investor audiences.
- Narrative One serves the investment and tech sector across MENA and those entering the region and manages communications for firms with combined $2 billion in assets under management.
- Rasmal’s partners were first-check investors in Careem and early backers of Snoonu, signalling prior sector and regional deal experience.
“Rasmal is building something genuinely important — Qatar’s first investment platform for cross-border venture investment at a moment when the capital corridor between the Gulf and key global markets is becoming one of the defining stories in global private markets. We are proud to be their communications partner and to help tell that story to the audiences that matter,” said Tarek Fouad, CEO, Narrative One.
The strategic brief stresses communications built for investment audiences rather than general business press, reflecting Rasmal’s need to reach limited partners, sovereign and institutional stakeholders, and international founders. Narrative One’s offering centres on strategic communications, media relations, narrative development and account management with compliance at its centre — capabilities Rasmal cited as central to the selection.
Rasmal’s market positioning emphasises multi-strategy deployment, cross-border reach and a focus on mid-stage venture financing. The firm’s claim to have been an early investor in regional success stories such as Careem and Snoonu underlines its intent to leverage local deal experience while amplifying the firm’s role in connecting global capital with Gulf-based founders.
Looking ahead, the partnership is expected to accelerate Rasmal’s external profile as it scales activity across the Gulf and into international markets. Narrative One’s mandate to act as Rasmal’s embedded communications function signals a longer-term collaboration aimed at shaping investor narratives and raising the visibility of cross-border venture flows originating from Qatar and the wider Gulf.
