Qatari investment firm X2 Ventures has taken a strategic stake in Deus Robotics, a Ukraine-founded developer of an all-in-one smart robotic automation platform for warehouse, logistics and retail automation, the company announced at Web Summit Qatar 2026. The deal, disclosed on February 26, 2026, was presented by Hamad Mubarak al-Hajri, lead investor at X2 Ventures, and was facilitated by the Qatar-Ukraine Business Forum (QUBF), underscoring growing commercial links between Qatar and European technology companies.
"At X2 Ventures, we invest in technologies that solve real operational challenges and can scale globally. Deus Robotics stands out for its strong engineering capabilities, demonstrated commercial traction, and clear relevance to the future of logistics and automation in this region and beyond,” said Hamad Mubarak al-Hajri, who leads X2 Ventures and is founder & CEO of Snoonu Group and the newly appointed CEO of International Markets at Jahez.
Context and deal details
- Investor: X2 Ventures, led by Hamad Mubarak al-Hajri.
- Company: Deus Robotics — an AI-driven platform and fleet provider for logistics and warehouse automation.
- Announcement venue: Web Summit Qatar 2026.
- Facilitator: Qatar-Ukraine Business Forum (QUBF); Daria Revina serves as co-founder and vice-chair of QUBF.
Daria Revina told Gulf Times that the investment marks "a significant milestone as a strategic private Qatari investment in a technology company in this category," and reflected "the strengthening innovation and investment ties between Qatar and Europe." Revina stressed QUBF’s role in brokering the transaction as part of its mandate "to advance technology, innovation, and international investment co-operation," and said the deal highlights QUBF’s capacity to connect high-growth Ukrainian technologies with strategic partners and investors across the Gulf.
Deus Robotics offers a unified AI-driven platform that allows enterprises to connect, manage and optimise robotic fleets from any manufacturer through a single interface, complemented by the company’s own fleet of AI-powered autonomous robots. Revina noted the platform targets operational KPIs such as productivity, accuracy, scalability and cost efficiency across warehouse and fulfilment operations, and has already recorded commercial deployments with national postal operators in Europe while expanding in the United States.
"We are excited to work with Hamad Mubarak al-Hajri and X2 Ventures to bring our proven market traction to Qatar and GCC countries, where the demand for robotic logistics automation continues to accelerate,” said Paul Pikulin, CEO and co‑founder of Deus Robotics.
Outlook
Both investors and intermediaries signalled that the deal is aimed at positioning Deus Robotics to capitalise on demand in Gulf Cooperation Council markets, where automation can reduce reliance on imported labour and bolster operational resilience amid broader digital transformation agendas. Revina said the investment "reflects the growing depth of collaboration between our two countries" and added that facilitating such ties is intended to "support Qatar’s transition toward a diversified, knowledge-based economy while strengthening long-term technology and investment ties between Ukraine, Qatar, and the wider region.”
