ProConnect strengthens Saudi supply chain infrastructure with new Riyadh logistics center

ProConnect, the logistics and supply chain solutions arm of Redington, has opened a new technology-enabled logistics centre in Riyadh, marking a significant expansion of its footprint in Saudi Arabia. The facility sits inside a 2.1 million sq. ft. logistics community and comprises roughly 400,000 sq. ft. of built-up space designed to deliver scalable, secure and temperature-controlled warehousing across multiple industries. The centre offers more than 50,000 pallet positions, over 160,000 shelving locations, a 15-metre clear height and 41 loading bays, and has allocated about 25% of its area for staging operations.

"Supply chains today need to be more agile, visible and responsive to changing business requirements. This facility has been designed with those needs at its core, combining scale with technology and operational expertise," said Chidambaram S, President, Supply Chain & ProConnect, Redington. "From multi-temperature storage and intelligent warehouse management to real-time tracking and automated processes, we are building the capabilities that will help our customers simplify complex supply chains and scale their operations efficiently in Saudi Arabia."

Facility capabilities and technology

The Riyadh centre is configured to support multiple temperature environments ranging from -24°C to +24°C, covering frozen, chilled, ambient and dry storage requirements. It is SFDA compliant and ISO certified, positioning it to serve regulated and specialised sectors that require strict storage and traceability standards.

  • Built-up area: ~400,000 sq. ft.
  • Location footprint: 2.1 million sq. ft. logistics community
  • Pallet positions: >50,000
  • Shelving locations: >160,000
  • Clear height: 15 metres
  • Loading bays: 41
  • Temperature range: -24°C to +24°C (frozen, chilled, ambient, dry)
  • Security: more than 190 CCTV cameras

Technology is central to the operations at the centre. ProConnect has deployed a Warehouse Management System to increase inventory visibility and fulfilment control, alongside smart dock management, AI-enabled dimension capture and real-time tracking to improve accuracy, efficiency and turnaround times. The company says these systems will help handle high-volume and complex logistics demands while reducing manual touchpoints.

The opening was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA), the Saudi Export Development Authority, the Embassy of India, customers, partners and members of the wider business community, underscoring demand from both public and private stakeholders for advanced logistics infrastructure.

Strategic intent and outlook

"Saudi Arabia is moving through an important phase of economic and digital transformation, creating significant opportunities for businesses across the Kingdom," said Rawad Ayash, President, Saudi Arabia, Redington. "As Redington deepens its presence here, we are investing in the infrastructure and capabilities that can support this growth. The new ProConnect logistics center strengthens the ecosystem we are building in Saudi Arabia and gives our customers and partners access to scalable, technology-led supply chain capabilities closer to their businesses."

The Riyadh logistics centre represents a continuation of ProConnect's strategy to build "future-ready" supply chain capabilities across its markets, providing integrated services across warehousing, fulfilment, distribution and value-added logistics. Media enquiries related to the launch were listed to Janees Reghelini, Head of Communications MEA, Redington (janees.reghelini@redingtongroup.com).
