Pay10 expands Bahrain operations to advance digital payments ecosystem
Pay10 expanded its operations in Bahrain with two mobile apps for consumers and merchants, licensed as an Ancillary Service Provider by the Central Bank of Bahrain and interoperable with BenefitPay. The rollout targets instant transfers, QR-based merchant payments and faster settlement cycles to drive SME adoption and a more cash-lite economy.

Pay10 has expanded its operations in the Kingdom of Bahrain, rolling out two dedicated mobile applications — the Pay10 Bahrain App for consumers and the Pay10 Biz Bahrain App for merchants — as part of a drive to scale an interoperable consumer and merchant payments ecosystem. Licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain as an Ancillary Service Provider, Pay10’s entry emphasizes regulatory compliance and a payments infrastructure designed to support instant transfers, QR-based merchant payments and faster settlement cycles for SMEs.
“The launch represents another important milestone in our vision of building a truly interconnected payments ecosystem across the region,” said Harry Gill, Founder and Chairman of Pay10. “Bahrain has built a dynamic fintech ecosystem, underpinned by a robust regulatory framework and a commitment to digital innovation. We are proud to support this vision by delivering secure, interoperable, and customer- and merchant-centric payment solutions that simplify everyday commerce, empower businesses, and enhance the digital payment experience for consumers across the Kingdom.”
Pay10 positions its Bahrain apps to simplify everyday financial activity for both individual users and small-to-medium enterprises. The consumer-facing Pay10 Bahrain App enables citizens, residents and digitally connected users to send and receive money instantly, make local bank transfers, pay merchants by scanning QR codes and manage daily payments within a single platform. The merchant-oriented Pay10 Biz Bahrain App — available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store — targets SMEs seeking a cost-efficient alternative to traditional payment acceptance solutions, offering real-time transaction monitoring, seamless fund access and accelerated settlement cycles under a competitive and transparent pricing model.
A notable technical element of Pay10’s Bahrain launch is interoperability with BenefitPay. Consumers can scan dynamic QR codes using either the BenefitPay App or the Pay10 App to complete instant payments, while merchants can accept payments without altering existing processes or infrastructure. Pay10 says this compatibility removes switching barriers, aiding adoption and integration within Bahrain’s existing digital-payments habits.

Pay10 frames its Bahrain expansion as part of a broader regional strategy to build an interconnected payments network. The company highlights a “robust payment’s infrastructure” supporting secure, reliable digital experiences while seeking to integrate deeply with local market behaviours. The merchant-first Biz app aims to reduce friction and cost for SMEs that traditionally rely on card terminals or other legacy payment rails.
Looking ahead, Pay10 intends to scale its consumer and merchant ecosystem across the Kingdom, leveraging regulatory compliance, local market integration and technology to support Bahrain’s digital economy. The company forecasts that interoperable QR acceptance and faster settlement offerings will drive merchant adoption and increase the proportion of everyday transactions conducted through digital channels, advancing Bahrain’s transition toward a more cash-lite payments landscape.
