OPSWAT signs distribution deal with Redington to scale critical infrastructure protection across the Middle East, Türkiye, Africa, and the Commonwealth of Independent States
OPSWAT and Redington have signed a distribution partnership to expand critical infrastructure protection across the METAPCIS footprint (GCC, Levant, Türkiye, Africa and CIS), prioritising MetaDefender Kiosk and MetaDefender Optical Diode for government, defence and OT environments. Redington will provide regional logistics, financing and channel enablement while OPSWAT leads technical certification and solutioning.

OPSWAT and Redington form distribution partnership to expand critical infrastructure protection across METAPCIS
OPSWAT, a provider of critical infrastructure protection (CIP) cybersecurity solutions, and technology aggregator Redington have announced a distribution partnership that will cover the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Levant, Türkiye, Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The agreement combines OPSWAT’s CIP portfolio with Redington’s on‑the‑ground sales, technical, warehousing, logistics and financing capabilities, with an initial focus on MetaDefender Kiosk™ and MetaDefender Optical Diode™ for government, defence and operational technology (OT) environments.
“Critical infrastructure customers cannot wait for technology to clear borders, financing gaps or skills shortages. Redington brings resilience on all three fronts,” said Hussam Sidani, Regional Vice President – META, OPSWAT. “Its financial stability gives partners the confidence to pursue complex, multi‑stage projects; its regional stock and logistics help keep hardware‑led deployments moving when supply chains are under pressure; and programs like DigiGlass give partners a path from product resale into recurring, higher‑value managed services.”
The partners intend to widen access to specialised protection for segmented, air‑gapped and OT environments across regulated sectors including government, defence, banking, telecoms, energy and utilities. Redington will leverage local stockholding, logistics infrastructure and in‑country technical resources to support movement and deployment of OPSWAT solutions across markets where procurement requirements vary and supply‑chain continuity remains under pressure. Redington’s financing capabilities are highlighted as a mechanism to help channel partners pursue complex, staged projects, particularly in frontier markets.
- Priority solutions named in the deal: MetaDefender Kiosk™ and MetaDefender Optical Diode™ for sensitive government, defence and OT deployments.
- Managed services component: Redington’s DigiGlass offering will enable partners to extend engagements into 24/7 security operations without large upfront investments in security operations capabilities.
- Regional rollout plan: During the first 12 months the partnership will prioritise Africa, Türkiye and CIS for partner recruitment, certification and early customer reference wins; the same partner and go‑to‑market framework will be available across the wider METAPCIS footprint with local execution tailored to regulation and procurement.
“Critical infrastructure is becoming increasingly connected, making its protection more complex and more critical,” said Sayantan Dev, Chief Executive Officer, Software Solutions Group, Redington. “As AI accelerates both innovation and the sophistication of emerging threats, partners need the right technologies, expertise and support to stay ahead. This is where technology ecosystem orchestration becomes important – bringing together the right security capabilities, partner expertise and market context. Through our partnership with OPSWAT, we aim to enable partners to strengthen cyber resilience, address emerging AI‑driven risks and build relevant solutions that help customers protect the critical infrastructure their businesses and economies depend on.”
The announcement comes amid rising concern about the readiness of critical infrastructure to withstand major cyber incidents. The World Economic Forum’s Global Cybersecurity Outlook 2025 is cited showing that 36% of organisations in Africa lacked confidence in their country’s preparedness to respond to a major cyber incident affecting critical infrastructure, compared with 15% in Europe and North America. The partnership positions channel partners to assemble integrated, outcome‑based CIP propositions — combining OPSWAT’s specialised capabilities for protecting files, removable media, segmented networks and OT environments with Redington’s broader infrastructure and cybersecurity portfolio, plus assessment and professional services.
Execution will see OPSWAT lead technical certification and enablement, while Redington drives partner recruitment and channel logistics across the region, with an eye toward building a qualified pipeline and securing early reference customers within the first year.
