Money20/20 Middle East Returns to Riyadh as Global Fintech Leaders Gather to Shape the Future of Finance

Money20/20 Middle East will return to Riyadh from 14–16 September 2026, convening regulators, banks, fintech firms, investors and technology leaders at the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Centre in Malham. The three-day event is hosted by the Financial Sector Development Program (FSDP), the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and the Insurance Authority (IA), and is co‑organised by Tahaluf and Fintech Saudi. Organisers expect more than 38,000 attendees, 350 exhibiting brands, 350+ speakers, 600+ investors and 150 startups to participate in the 2026 edition.

"Money20/20 Middle East has redefined what a fintech event can achieve," said Annabelle Mander, Executive Vice President at Tahaluf. "This is where regulators, financial institutions, investors and innovators come together to build partnerships and shape the future of financial services. As fintech momentum continues to build, Riyadh has become a key meeting point for the global fintech community, creating the connections and conversations that will define the next chapter of finance."

Programme, speakers and partners

The 2026 programme will address six content pillars: The Future Financial Architecture, Trust by Design, Autonomous Finance, Empowered Finance, The Next Era of Payments, and The Future of Capital. The event will feature keynote discussions, executive forums and closed‑door leadership sessions across formats including The Executive Summit, NextGen Money, The Bridge, The Capital Stage, The Boardroom, Off The Record and MoneyPot.

  • Confirmed global speakers include Ryan Rugg, Global Head of Digital Assets TTS at Citi; Mostapha Tahiri, Chief Operating Officer at State Street; Tony Ashraf, Managing Director at BlackRock; Joy Adams, Chief Operating Officer, Digital Assets Transformation, Corporate Bank at Deutsche Bank; and Hosam Arab, Co‑Founder and CEO of Tabby.
  • Founding Partners for the 2026 edition are Visa and Tamara. Strategic Sponsors include BARQ, ELM, Tiqmo and Arab National Bank.
  • Platinum Sponsors named so far are Foodics, Hakbah, Gulf International Bank, Safqah Capital and Al Rajhi Takaful.

Context and regional significance

The organisers say the event will "provide a platform to explore the trends, technologies, regulations and partnerships shaping the future of financial services," bringing together policymakers, financial institutions, investors and technology leaders from around the world. Money20/20’s global footprint—flagship shows in Amsterdam, Las Vegas and Bangkok—frames the Riyadh edition as part of its wider effort to connect the global money ecosystem.

Beyond the headline stages and speaker roster, the event is positioned to spotlight digital assets, corporate bank transformation, payments innovation and capital markets — reflected in the diversity of confirmed speakers occupying roles focused on digital assets and institutional finance. The presence of major payment and BNPL players as founding partners underlines the event’s emphasis on payments and consumer finance developments.

Outlook

With organisers already announcing a high‑profile speaker line‑up and multi‑tiered sponsor support, Money20/20 Middle East aims to cement Riyadh as a recurring locus for fintech dialogue when it convenes in September 2026. Attendees can expect an intensive three days of networking, product showcases and regulatory engagement designed to translate conversations into partnerships and commercial activity across the region and beyond.
