MINT by EGBANK Partners with VMS to Help Egyptian Startups Enter and Scale in Saudi Arabia
EGBANK's MINT incubator has partnered with VMS to add a Saudi Arabia expansion module to its curriculum, helping Egyptian startups with market readiness, company formation, regulatory navigation and introductions to Saudi government platforms and mentors.

MINT by EGBANK has partnered with VMS to give Egyptian startups a structured pathway to enter and scale in Saudi Arabia, with VMS tasked to design and deliver the Saudi expansion module of the MINT Incubator curriculum. The partnership will cover market readiness, company establishment pathways, applicable regulatory requirements and relevant Saudi government platforms, and will leverage VMS’s regional network to provide mentorship, guest speakers, and media and marketing support to participating founders.
"VMS will design and deliver the Saudi Arabia expansion component of the MINT Incubator curriculum, covering market readiness, company establishment pathways, applicable regulatory requirements and relevant government platforms," the programme brief states.
The collaboration aims to equip Egyptian founders with practical knowledge and connections needed to launch operations in Saudi Arabia, one of the region’s largest startup markets. Under the agreement, VMS will supplement MINT’s existing incubator curriculum with a focused module on cross-border scaling, including legal and regulatory navigation, company formation options and engagement with Saudi government platforms that often play a central role in market entry and public procurement.
Program elements to be delivered by VMS include:
- Market readiness assessments tailored to Saudi sectors;
- Guidance on company establishment pathways and registration processes;
- Summaries of applicable regulatory requirements and compliance expectations;
- Introductions to relevant Saudi government platforms and ecosystem stakeholders;
- Mentorship and guest speaker sessions drawn from VMS’s Saudi network, plus regional media and marketing support.
By integrating these components into MINT’s incubator, the programme aims to move beyond generic expansion advice and provide operationally specific support that founders can apply immediately. The inclusion of mentorship and guest speakers from VMS’s Saudi network is intended to shorten the relationship-building cycle that often slows early cross-border efforts.
Established by EGBANK, MINT has positioned its incubator as a stepping stone for Egyptian startups seeking regional growth. This latest partnership with VMS directly targets Saudi Arabia, reflecting both market demand among regional founders and the practical hurdles startups face when relocating or establishing entities abroad, including licensing, sponsorship, and regulatory compliance.
Participants in the expanded curriculum can expect a mix of classroom sessions, hands-on legal and business workshops, and curated introductions to stakeholders in Riyadh and other Saudi cities. The programme’s media and marketing support component is also designed to help startups build brand visibility in a new market, an often underestimated requirement for customer acquisition and investor interest.
Outlook: The MINT–VMS partnership could accelerate a new wave of Egyptian startups testing the Saudi market by providing a structured, curriculum-driven route to entry and scale. If the initiative delivers on its promise of practical, networked support, it may serve as a model for other incubators aiming to facilitate regional expansion across the Middle East.
