Jordan’s Oasis500 Launches USD 20M+ Fund to Back Early-Stage Tech Startups

Oasis500 launched Oasis Ventures III, a USD 20M+ fund targeting early-stage tech startups with scalable models and regional growth potential.

Oasis500, Jordan’s long-standing startup accelerator and early-stage investor, has launched Oasis Ventures III, a new investment vehicle with a size exceeding USD 20 million aimed at backing early-stage tech and tech-enabled startups with scalable, high-growth models and regional expansion potential. The fund, announced at an ecosystem gathering that brought together entrepreneurs, investors and institutional partners from across the region, combines capital with mentorship and network access to help founders build sustainable companies and expand beyond local markets.

“Oasis Ventures III is a direct investment in Jordanian youth and in promising companies capable of growth and sustainability,” said Suhair Ali, Chairwoman at Oasis500.

Context and track record

Founded in 2010 and originally established through the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, Oasis500 was among the first dedicated seed investors in Jordan’s technology sector. Its model pairs early capital with hands-on strategic support, providing mentorship, operational guidance and connections to regional networks with the stated goal of reducing early-stage risk and accelerating scale.

Since inception, Oasis500 has invested in 193 startups across multiple sectors. Those companies have collectively secured more than USD 135 million in follow-on funding, and the active portfolio is currently valued at around USD 243 million. Portfolio companies have generated nearly 5,000 direct and indirect jobs and many now operate beyond Jordan, with a presence in more than 22 countries—evidence, Oasis500 says, of an emerging emphasis on export-oriented, scalable technology ventures.

Oasis Ventures III builds on three earlier investment vehicles. Oasis Ventures I was launched in 2010, a creative industries fund followed in 2015, and Oasis Ventures II was launched in 2019 with a focus on companies that had already achieved product-market fit and commercial traction. The new fund marks a renewed emphasis on earlier-stage opportunities and is intended to strengthen the pipeline of high-quality startups moving into growth stages.

Outlook

With regional capital becoming more selective, Oasis500 positions Oasis Ventures III as a combined capital-and-support platform designed to help startups scale regionally and compete globally. By targeting founders building clear market potential and prioritizing sustainable, long-term economic value, the fund aims to continue shaping Jordan’s early-stage ecosystem while nurturing ventures that can expand beyond local markets.
