Ivory Coast’s Ecobyke joins FasterCapital’s EquityPilot programme
Ivory Coast-based micro-mobility startup Ecobyke has been selected for FasterCapital's EquityPilot programme to refine operations, prove product-market fit and prepare for regional expansion across major African cities. The programme will focus on short-term executional milestones around operations, commercial processes and early customer acquisition.

Ivory Coast-based micro-mobility startup Ecobyke has been selected to join FasterCapital’s EquityPilot programme as it prepares to scale electric bike, scooter and trotinette services across major African cities. Founded by Pierre Junior Assi, Ecobyke operates shared electric bicycles, electric scooters and trotinettes with an emphasis on locally managed operations, remote fleet controls and low-emission transport alternatives. The EquityPilot engagement will focus on turning strategy into executional milestones and driving go-to-market readiness ahead of a regional rollout.
“We’re excited to support Ecobyke through EquityPilot. Our team will focus on execution milestones and connecting the startup with the right ecosystem stakeholders,” said Hesham Zreik, founder and CEO of FasterCapital.
Programme focus and immediate priorities
FasterCapital describes EquityPilot as a venture-building initiative that co-funds and co-founds startups while providing online incubation support. For Ecobyke, the programme’s initial 30–60 day phase will concentrate on refining core operational elements and proving product-market fit. Specific areas of work include sharpening operational processes, validating commercial approaches, and establishing repeatable early customer acquisition and revenue mechanisms.
- Operations refinement: strengthening locally managed operations and remote fleet controls to support multi-city deployment.
- Product-market fit: testing and iterating the electric bike, scooter and trotinette offerings to match urban user behaviour and pricing sensitivities.
- Early commercial processes: creating sales, partnerships and revenue workflows to sustain scale-up activity.
Context and company profile
Ecobyke operates in West African urban environments where micro-mobility solutions are increasingly seen as an alternative to congested, high-emission transport options. The startup’s model prioritises local management of fleets combined with remote-control capabilities for monitoring, maintenance and rebalancing. That operational approach aims to reduce downtime and adapt quickly to city-specific demand patterns.
FasterCapital positions itself as a global venture builder and online incubator that provides both capital and hands-on support to early-stage ventures. The firm’s EquityPilot initiative is designed to translate strategy into executable milestones by pairing startups with advisors and ecosystem stakeholders who can accelerate market entry and regional expansion.
Outlook
With EquityPilot’s concentrated early-stage support, Ecobyke will seek to validate its service model beyond its current West African footprint and prepare for regional expansion into other major African cities. The immediate 30–60 day workplan is intended to deliver tangible execution milestones—operational improvements, clearer product-market alignment and early commercial traction—that can underpin a broader rollout.
If the initial phase meets its objectives, Ecobyke and FasterCapital will likely move into subsequent stages focused on scaling fleet size, deepening city partnerships and securing additional funding where required to support pan-African growth. For Ecobyke founder Pierre Junior Assi, the EquityPilot selection represents a strategic opportunity to professionalise operations and accelerate the company’s plans to make low-emission micro-mobility more widely available across the continent.
