InvestGB launches first live deployment of the Global Avaloq platform in Kuwait
Gulf Capital Investment Company KSCC (InvestGB) has gone live with Avaloq’s Global platform in Kuwait, unifying wealth, portfolio and fund administration on a single operating environment to support scaling and digital transformation across the GCC.

Gulf Capital Investment Company KSCC (InvestGB), the investment arm of Gulf Bank, has gone live with Avaloq’s Global platform to serve individual and institutional clients in Kuwait and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council. The deployment unifies wealth management, portfolio management and fund administration on a single Avaloq operating environment, marking Avaloq’s first live implementation in Kuwait and a key step in InvestGB’s digitalisation strategy designed to improve operational efficiency, scale the business and optimise total cost of ownership.
"Going live with Avaloq is a major milestone in our digital transformation journey and reflects our commitment to innovation and our mission to deliver long term value to our clients," said Samer Obaid, Managing Director of Information Technology at InvestGB. "With Avaloq’s advanced technology now fully operational, we are strengthening our wealth management capabilities, fostering growth through innovation, and positioning ourselves to address the evolving needs of our clients. Most importantly, it enables our teams to focus more of their time and energy on delivering exceptional value for our clients."
Implementation details and strategic rationale
InvestGB selected Avaloq to build a single, harmonised operating environment across its lines of business. The consolidation replaces fragmented legacy systems and creates a common infrastructure intended to streamline processes across front, middle and back office functions. The company said the single-platform approach will position it to scale operations more rapidly while reducing complexity and total cost of ownership across infrastructure, software, implementation services and operational teams.
Jinnan Hussain, Senior Vice President of Information Technology at InvestGB, emphasised the cross-team effort behind the cutover: "This go live is the result of months of close collaboration between our technology and business teams to ensure a seamless transition onto the Avaloq platform. The new infrastructure gives us a stronger technical foundation, tighter system integration, and greater agility to support InvestGB’s continued growth. We greatly appreciated Avaloq’s commitment, expertise and clear communication throughout the project."
Vendor perspective and regional significance
From Avaloq, Akash Anand, Managing Director for the Middle East, Africa and India, framed the deployment as a milestone for both parties: "This is a landmark achievement for both InvestGB and Avaloq, and we are proud to see InvestGB go live as our first client in Kuwait." He added: "Together, we have delivered a transformation that will help simplify the company’s operations and increase efficiency. We would like to thank the InvestGB team for their close collaboration and market expertise, which played a vital role in the success of this program. With this foundation now in place, we look forward to continuing our partnership as InvestGB advances the next phase of its digital transformation journey."
Outlook
- InvestGB expects the unified platform to reduce operational complexity and support faster product rollout across the GCC.
- The company aims to leverage tighter system integration and a stronger technical foundation to scale its wealth and investment management services.
- The deployment arrives as regional financial institutions face pressure to improve efficiency, control costs and meet evolving regulatory requirements; InvestGB’s single-platform model is presented as a template for consolidating systems to accelerate innovation.
