Invest Qatar launches VC funding module for startups
Invest Qatar launched a VC Funding Module on the Invest Qatar Gateway in partnership with the Qatar Investment Authority to centralise access to QIA-backed venture funds, streamline pitch submissions and connect founders with participating investors and support services.
Invest Qatar has launched a Venture Capital (VC) Funding Module on the Invest Qatar Gateway in collaboration with the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), giving startups centralized access to venture capital funds, investment opportunities and support programmes. The module, available to all Invest Qatar Gateway members, consolidates discovery and application processes on a single platform and highlights participating funds that are backed by QIA through its $3 billion Fund of Funds programme.
"The VC Funding Module is the latest addition to the Invest Qatar Gateway, a platform we have built deliberately to streamline and simplify every stage of a founder's journey," said Dr. Hamad Rashid Al‑Naimi, Chief Strategy Officer at Invest Qatar. "By bringing QIA‑backed funds together on a single, transparent platform, we offer startups something rare in emerging ecosystems: a clear, direct path from idea to institutional capital, with access to the networks, expertise and resources needed to scale and succeed globally."
The new module allows entrepreneurs to explore the investment focus areas and eligibility criteria of participating venture funds and to submit investment pitches directly to fund managers. It also provides access to value‑added services and support initiatives intended to improve the efficiency, transparency and accessibility of the fundraising process. Invest Qatar described the module as a mechanism to strengthen connections between founders and a curated network of venture capital investors.

Haya Al Ghanim, Director of Qatar Funds at QIA, emphasised the role the module plays in improving visibility and matching between entrepreneurs and fund managers. "As Qatar's venture capital ecosystem continues to evolve, this module will provide entrepreneurs with a centralised platform that enables them to have greater visibility of the opportunities available, and clearer pathways to connect with the relevant fund managers. This module supports our shared mission of establishing Qatar as a leading destination for innovation and entrepreneurship," she said.
In its initial phase the module features a growing network of participating funds and ecosystem partners. Startups can review participating QIA‑backed funds, assess investment criteria and submit pitches directly through the platform. Invest Qatar positions the module as an efficiency tool for founders, aiming to consolidate funding resources and application channels into a single access point.
Outlook
By centralising information on fund mandates and eligibility criteria—and by connecting founders directly to fund managers—the VC Funding Module aims to accelerate fundraising timelines and improve match quality between startups and investors. With the QIA's $3 billion Fund of Funds backing many of the participating investors, the module may increase visibility for both Qatar‑based and regional founders seeking institutional capital and support services. Invest Qatar has urged startups seeking venture capital funding to register on the Invest Qatar Gateway and make use of the new VC Funding Module to submit pitches and explore partnership opportunities.
