HUMAIN and Applied Intuition Announce Strategic Collaboration to Deploy Physical AI Across Saudi Arabia, Starting with Autonomous Trucking

Applied Intuition and HUMAIN today announced a strategic collaboration to deploy physical AI across Saudi Arabia, beginning with an ambition to build the world’s largest autonomous trucking network. The long‑term commercial partnership will combine HUMAIN’s sovereign AI infrastructure with Applied Intuition’s end‑to‑end physical AI stack — including its Self‑Driving System (SDS) and Vehicle OS — to roll out thousands of autonomous trucks across key Saudi logistics corridors by 2030 and later expand into robotaxis, ports, mining, manufacturing, agriculture and construction.

The collaboration positions autonomous trucking as the initial large‑scale use case to extend AI beyond data centers and into the physical systems that move goods. Applied Intuition — founded in 2017 and headquartered in Sunnyvale, California — will provide its multi‑domain autonomy model and vehicle intelligence technologies through a commercial arrangement meant to scale "across a billion moving machines." Applied Intuition’s SDS, already operating on Level 4 trucks and active on roads in the U.S., Europe and Japan, together with Vehicle OS, will serve as the technological foundation for fleet operations, simulation, validation and on‑road autonomy.

• The joint programme will begin with autonomous long‑haul and logistics trucking across major Saudi freight corridors, with a target to operate thousands of driverless trucks by 2030.
• Applied Intuition has established a local office in Riyadh and is building a technical team intended to launch, operate and scale autonomous fleets, creating high‑value jobs in the Kingdom.
• HUMAIN, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, supplies sovereign AI infrastructure, next‑generation data centers, cloud platforms, advanced AI models (including Arabic large language models) and sector‑specific AI products for public and private sectors.
