Founder Mode Bootcamp Brings Teen Entrepreneurs into Real Startup Building in Dubai

Two Dubai-based entrepreneurs behind one of Kickstarter’s most successful thermos campaigns are launching a hands-on accelerator for teenage founders. Founder Mode Bootcamp, created by Ankita Garg and Harsh Garg, opens its first cohort on 26 September 2026 at Dubai Knowledge Park. The 12-week programme accepts students aged 13 to 20, caps cohorts at 15 to 20 participants, charges AED 7,999 per student and closes applications on 20 September 2026. The course culminates in a live Demo Day pitch where participants will present projects they have developed during the programme.

"Teenagers do not need to wait until university to start building, and that the program gives them the tools, mentorship and accountability to test ideas and pitch with confidence," Ankita Garg said, outlining the programme’s philosophy.

Bootcamp model: learn by doing, launch by crowd

Founder Mode Bootcamp departs from traditional youth programmes that rely on case studies and lectures. Instead, students are guided to develop original ideas from day one: speaking with real customers, testing demand, and producing working prototypes over the 12-week period. Crowdfunding is central to the curriculum. Participants will learn to shape a product narrative, price rewards, and launch a live campaign page — mirroring the approach Ankita and Harsh used to fund the Golchi travel bottle.

The Gargs bring a track record in crowdfunding and startup operations to the classroom. Their Golchi travel bottle campaign raised more than $400,000 from over 5,000 backers on Kickstarter, a milestone the bootcamp intends to replicate at youth scale. Ankita also draws on experience with BauBax, another notable crowdfunding success, while Harsh contributes a background in strategy, mergers and consulting. The founders say students will gain access to the same networks of operators, backers and early customers the pair use in their ventures.

Programme structure and outcomes

  • Duration: 12 weeks, starting 26 September 2026
  • Eligibility: students aged 13–20
  • Cohort size: 15–20 participants
  • Cost: AED 7,999 per student
  • Application deadline: 20 September 2026
  • Capstone: live pitch at Demo Day, with a focus on launching crowdfunding campaigns

Mentors on the programme will remain active in the startup world and are expected to offer practical introductions to early customers and potential backers. By embedding crowdfunding mechanics into the pedagogy — narrative development, reward-tier pricing, campaign page design — the bootcamp aims to provide teenagers with tangible fundraising experience rather than simulated exercises.

Outlook

With a limited cohort size and a price tag indicating a premium offering, Founder Mode Bootcamp is positioned as an intensive, network-driven pathway for young founders who want to move from idea to marketable prototype within months. If the bootcamp can translate the Gargs’ crowdfunding playbook into repeatable results for teenagers, it could produce a new pipeline of founder-ready youth comfortable with customer discovery and public fundraising. Applications close 20 September 2026, ahead of the first cohort’s September 26 start at Dubai Knowledge Park.
