Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone, Sony collaborate to strengthen startup community

Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone (DSBH) has signed a strategic partnership with Sony Middle East and Africa to bring Sony’s technology, expertise and educational programmes to entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs and growing businesses operating within the free zone. The agreement—signed today at Dubai South Headquarters by Saif Al-Ali, Director- Licensing and Free Zone Management, and Jobin Joejoe, Managing Director, Sony Middle East and Africa—will give DSBH businesses access to exclusive Sony benefits and offers alongside a programme of workshops and masterclasses focused on content creation, digital marketing, brand building and business growth.

The collaboration positions Sony as a technology partner within DSBH’s broader founder-first ecosystem. Under the deal, businesses in the free zone will benefit from preferential access to professional imaging and audio equipment and hands-on guidance from Sony specialists. Sessions delivered at Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone will cover practical skills founders use to build and scale companies, including content creation, digital marketing, brand building and business growth. The partnership is designed to extend DSBH’s offer beyond company formation services—licensing, visa services, banking partnerships and post-license business support—by adding applied technical capability founders can use immediately in their operations.

Both organisations indicated they will continue to work together on events and programmes inside the free zone, integrating Sony’s applied knowledge and equipment with DSBH’s licensing and support services to help startups and SMEs present stronger content, sharpen their brands and accelerate growth trajectories.
