Dubai Chamber-backed accelerator launches 32 apps after 45-day sprint

Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has supported the development and market launch of 32 new mobile applications through the Create Apps Accelerator Programme, an intensive 45-day tech sprint run as part of the Create Apps Championship under the Create Apps in Dubai initiative. The cohort produced launch-ready iOS and Android prototypes, with 60% of the apps incorporating artificial intelligence, and participants representing 22 countries across 13 sectors.

“The programme reflects Dubai’s strong commitment”

Saeed AlGergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said: “The Create Apps Accelerator Programme reflects Dubai’s strong commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship within the digital startup ecosystem. By providing a clear pathway for promising entrepreneurs at the beginning of their journey, the programme ensures that all high-potential ideas are given the opportunity to develop. The launch of the 32 apps reflects the impact of these efforts in enriching Dubai’s business ecosystem across advanced technology sectors and contributes to strengthening Dubai’s position as a global capital of the digital economy and a hub for empowering talented entrepreneurs from around the world.”

Programme details and outcomes

The Create Apps Accelerator Programme delivered more than 170 hours of one-on-one mentoring and guidance during this edition, an increase from the previous cycle that provided 140 hours of mentoring to 24 teams. The current run included six specialised workshops covering user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, product positioning, compliance and app scaling. Structured milestones and expert mentorship helped teams move from concept to functional prototypes and prepare for App Store and Google Play launches.

  • Total apps launched: 32
  • Programme length: 45 days
  • AI-enabled apps: 60% of cohort
  • Mentoring delivered: 170+ hours
  • Participating countries: 22 (including the UAE, Egypt, India, Yemen and Jordan)
  • Sectors represented: education, healthcare and longevity, fintech, AI, social media, real estate and more

The accelerator specifically targets founders who did not qualify for the final stages of the Create Apps Championship, providing an alternative route to market readiness. This edition attracted founders from 22 countries, underlining the programme’s international draw. Education was the most represented sector among the launched apps, followed by healthcare and longevity, signalling a focus on wellbeing and learning alongside more traditional tech verticals such as fintech and real estate technology.

Outlook

By helping teams build and launch 32 applications — most with AI features — the Create Apps Accelerator Programme aims to boost adoption of advanced technologies within the private sector and expand Dubai’s digital innovation ecosystem. The increase in mentoring hours and the broader sectoral spread compared with the prior edition suggest the programme is scaling its support capacity. Continued recruitment through the wider Create Apps in Dubai initiative, which continues to receive thousands of applications, will determine how many more startups move from prototype to commercial traction in coming months.
