Da Nang strengthens investment ties with Dubai

Da Nang city moved to deepen investment links with Dubai on February 25, 2026, when the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Centre under the municipal Department of Science and Technology, in coordination with Aeternum Consulting Ltd., held a working session with Dubai partners and international investors to promote cooperation opportunities. The session followed a recent departmental working trip to Dubai and concentrated on promoting investment cooperation, commercialising products, developing digital assets and expanding international markets for Da Nang-based startups through direct engagement with Dubai partners.

"Da Nang seeks to expand international cooperation, particularly with financial and innovation hubs in the Middle East. Establishing and deepening partnerships with Dubai has been identified as a strategic and long-term direction," said Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology.

Session highlights and partnerships

The working session, attended by local officials, Dubai-based partners and global investors, explored practical steps to create tangible investment opportunities between Da Nang and international collaborators. Participants exchanged experience and proposed practical solutions to prepare for upcoming joint activities, while the city reaffirmed "its commitment to accompanying businesses and global partners in building a dynamic, integrated and sustainable innovation ecosystem."

Organisers used the meeting to introduce the "Unchained Summit – Vietnam Edition" and outline a joint strategy to develop the Web3 and innovation ecosystem between Da Nang and Aeternum. The summit's official website was also launched during the engagement. The international event is scheduled for May 28–29 at the Furama Resort Da Nang and is positioned to spotlight digital assets, blockchain, fintech, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.

Focus sectors and municipal priorities

Le Son Phong said the city is prioritising investment attraction in "high-tech sectors, digital finance, blockchain, artificial intelligence and new economic models aligned with its green, smart and sustainable development orientation." The partnership with Aeternum and engagements with Dubai stakeholders are intended to accelerate commercialisation, develop digital asset frameworks and open export and investment channels for Da Nang-based startups.

As part of the session, the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Centre and Aeternum Consulting signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in innovation, digital assets and emerging technologies. The MoU signals a shared commitment to promote international collaboration and support digital transformation within the municipal innovation ecosystem.

Officials framed the outreach to Dubai as a strategic, long-term direction for Da Nang's integration into regional and global innovation networks, with science, technology and digital transformation identified as central growth drivers in the city’s next development phase.
