Criminal IP Appoints Reconn as Distributor for TI & ASM Across Middle East & Africa
Dubai-based distributor Reconn has been appointed to represent Criminal IP (operated by AI SPERA) across the Middle East and Africa, bringing real-time IP threat intelligence and attack surface management to regional MSSPs, SOCs and enterprises.

Criminal IP operator AI SPERA has appointed Dubai-based distributor Reconn to represent its threat intelligence (TI) and attack surface management (ASM) solutions across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). The partnership, announced September 1, 2026, will give MSSPs, SOC teams, threat analysts and security operations centers across the region access to Criminal IP’s real-time IP intelligence, domain scanning, OSINT and dark‑web monitoring. Criminal IP says its platform continuously scans 4.29 billion addresses, already operates in more than 150 countries, and integrates with over 40 cybersecurity platforms including PaloAlto, Fortinet, OpenCTI and Wazuh.
"Every SOC and MSSP we talk to in the region faces the same problem: they need to see threats coming at them from outside their network," said Shenoy Sandeep, Founder of Reconn. "Criminal IP’s continuous IP and domain scanning cover gaps that traditional security tools miss. This partnership lets us bring that capability to our customers helping them detect threats before attacks happen, respond faster, and actually know what they’re defending. The regional threat landscape is specific. Criminal IP delivers both the global scale and regional relevance our teams need. Combined with our implementation support and compliance training, we can accelerate threat intelligence adoption across MEA."
Context and capabilities
Criminal IP’s offering is positioned as "decision-ready threat intelligence" and AI-powered ASM. The TI product provides threat scoring, reputation data and real-time detection of malicious indicators — from command-and-control servers and IOCs to masking services such as VPNs and proxies — across IPs, domains and URLs. Its API-first architecture is designed to integrate into SIEM, SOAR and XDR workflows to boost automation and response.
The ASM solution layers continuous asset discovery with threat intelligence context, bringing vulnerability intelligence, C2 detections, malicious IP/domain correlations and dark-web exposure into asset discovery and prioritization. AI SPERA’s CEO, Byungtak Kang, described the strategic rationale: "We see the Middle East and Africa as a strategically important region where organizations are increasingly looking for greater visibility into external threats and their expanding attack surfaces. Our partnership with Reconn combines Criminal IP’s global threat intelligence and attack surface management capabilities with Reconn’s strong regional expertise and customer network."
- Global scanning footprint: 4.29 billion addresses
- Existing reach: operations in 150+ countries
- Platform integrations: 40+ platforms including PaloAlto, Fortinet, OpenCTI, Wazuh
- Regional compliance touchpoints: CBUAE, SAMA, DFSA, CBN, BRSA, NCA‑ECC
Reconn will provide end‑to‑end support for Criminal IP deployments in MEA, including integration with existing SIEM, SOAR and XDR platforms, sales engineering for proofs‑of‑concept, threat intelligence training and ongoing technical support. The distributor specializes in AI Security, Agentic AI, AI Governance, Threat Intelligence, Offensive Security and GRC, and offers PECB‑certified training on Artificial Intelligence, ISO 42001 and ISO 27001.
Outlook
The partnership aims to address a growing market need in MEA for external threat visibility and attack surface oversight, especially where central bank and regulator mandates demand external threat awareness and cyber governance. Organisations in the region can evaluate Criminal IP via a free threat intelligence search engine at search.criminalip.io or contact Reconn for demonstrations, attack surface assessments and regional implementation planning. For vendor contact, AI SPERA lists Michael Sena and an email at support@aispera.com.
