COMEX 2027 will take place from 1–4 February 2027 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, bringing together government leaders, enterprise technology heads, startups and investors from Oman and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Produced by Arabian Research Bureau, the exhibition positions itself as Oman’s flagship technology and digital transformation platform and is being staged in alignment with Oman Vision 2040, which prioritises digital transformation and a knowledge-based economy.

"COMEX 2027 is set to showcase the latest advances in technology and digital transformation," organisers say, signalling an emphasis on applied innovation across public and private sectors.

The four-day programme is designed to act as a meeting point for ministries, enterprise technology leaders, startups and investors at a time when Gulf governments are accelerating investment in artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital public services. New elements announced for the 2027 edition include the Enterprise Arena, a Banking and Fintech Zone, a Tech Startup Pavilion and a dedicated VIP Majlis, each intended to facilitate targeted networking, sector-specific showcase opportunities and high-level dialogue.

Event features and participants

  • Dates and venue: 1–4 February 2027 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre.
  • Producer: Arabian Research Bureau.
  • New additions: Enterprise Arena, Banking and Fintech Zone, Tech Startup Pavilion, VIP Majlis.
  • Target audience: government ministries, enterprise technology leaders, startups and investors from Oman and the GCC.

Organisers are positioning COMEX as a practical forum for exploring how emerging technologies can be deployed across government services and commercial operations. The programme aims to reflect the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by spotlighting solutions that support economic diversification and the development of a knowledge-based economy beyond oil and gas. The Banking and Fintech Zone will give financial-sector participants a focused platform to present innovations in payments, digital banking and regulatory technology, while the Tech Startup Pavilion is expected to showcase emerging firms seeking partners and capital within the region.

Delegates attending can expect sessions and exhibition spaces that foreground AI deployments, cloud migration strategies, and cyber resilience measures. The dedicated Enterprise Arena is described as a space for enterprise technology leaders to demonstrate large-scale solutions and integration models. The VIP Majlis is intended to host high-level discussions among policy makers and senior industry figures, facilitating public-private collaboration aligned with national digital agendas.

Outlook

COMEX 2027 will convene stakeholders at a strategic moment for Gulf digitisation policy and investment. With its alignment to Oman Vision 2040 and the introduction of sector-specific zones, the event aims to convert regional public-sector demand for AI, cloud and cybersecurity into concrete partnerships, procurement opportunities and startup investments. For exhibitors and delegates, the show offers concentrated exposure to government procurement priorities and an increasingly active investor community across the GCC.
