Atom Group has received regulatory approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) for a change in control of Amaltas Partners Limited, paving the way for Atom Privé Global Holdings to become the controlling entity of the DIFC-regulated firm. The move, announced on August 19, 2026, gives Atom Group a direct presence in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and is positioned to expand cross-border wealth and advisory services for Indian high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), entrepreneurs and family offices with interests spanning India, the UAE and other international markets.

"DIFC represents the gold standard for financial services oversight and infrastructure in this part of the world. Establishing our presence here is not just a milestone for Atom Group; it's a statement of intent," said Harsha Vardhana, Founder and Group CEO, Atom Group. "This approval lets us serve clients with greater institutional credibility and reinforces Dubai's role as the bridge between Indian wealth, Gulf capital and global markets."

Context and strategic rationale

The DFSA approval allows Atom Group to leverage the DIFC platform to offer a broader suite of cross-border wealth solutions, including wealth structuring, investment advisory, risk management and other services tailored to families and businesses operating across jurisdictions. Atom says its DIFC presence, combined with operations in India and a Singapore holding structure, will enable advisory services for clients moving capital and wealth between these markets.

  • Acquired entity: Amaltas Partners Limited (DIFC-regulated)
  • Controlling entity post-transaction: Atom Privé Global Holdings
  • Leadership: Naveen Rastogi, Global CIO, Multi-Family Office, Atom, appointed CEO and Group CIO of the acquired entity

"Amaltas has built a high-quality, client-centric franchise within DIFC, with deep relationships across entrepreneurs, professionals, and family offices," said Naveen Rastogi. "Our focus now is on ensuring continuity and stability for existing clients, while progressively bringing the full breadth of Atom Group's capabilities to bear, from multi-family office and risk advisory to investment banking and cross-border solutions."

What this means for Indian HNIs and families

For Indian families and HNIs with assets, businesses or family interests in both India and the UAE, a DIFC-based platform can simplify coordination of financial needs across jurisdictions—covering investment advice, succession planning, risk management and cross-border structuring. Dubai's role as a nexus for Indian entrepreneurs, professionals and family offices has been underscored by growing economic links between India and the UAE, and Atom frames its DIFC footprint as a way to "walk alongside Indian families as they globalise their wealth."

Atom Group positions the expansion as reinforcing a financial corridor between India and the UAE, describing the relationship as increasingly interwoven: "India and the UAE are no longer just trade partners. They're becoming deeply intertwined financial ecosystems," Harsha Vardhana added.

Outlook and investor considerations

While the DIFC platform may broaden options for cross-border wealth management, industry observers caution that retail investors should not treat overseas DIFC-structured offerings as direct substitutes for India-regulated investment products. Investors must weigh taxation, regulatory regimes, currency risk and remittance rules before shifting assets or adopting overseas wealth structures. Atom’s move nonetheless signals growing maturation of India-UAE financial links and a private-sector push to offer institutional-grade cross-border advisory capabilities from the DIFC hub.
