ADEED: Abu Dhabi launches AI-powered supply chain platform to boost trade resilience and logistics across UAE

Abu Dhabi launches ADEED, a new AI-powered supply chain platform to boost trade resilience, safeguard goods flow and support long-term economic growth in the UAE.

Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has launched ADEED, an AI-powered supply chain support platform developed in collaboration with logistics provider 7X, to strengthen trade continuity and business resilience across Abu Dhabi and the wider United Arab Emirates. Announced on April 1, 2026, the initiative is designed to provide greater visibility into supply chain activity, safeguard the flow of goods tied to exports and production inputs, and coordinate logistics across air, road and sea both domestically and internationally.

"The platform, known as ADEED, is designed to support the movement of materials and industrial inputs linked to trade flows, as regional supply chains face evolving pressures," ADIO said, outlining the core purpose of the platform in explaining how the initiative aims to help companies maintain operations.

ADEED combines ADIO’s market intelligence and business support capabilities with 7X’s operational logistics network. According to the announcement, ADIO’s trade and industry team will assist businesses in sourcing suppliers while 7X will coordinate transport and fulfilment solutions. Requests from the private sector will be channelled through the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s trade working group and managed across a coordinated network of government entities to ensure continuity of supply chains.

  • Lead agency: Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO)
  • Private partner: 7X (logistics and fulfilment)
  • Government and regulatory participants: Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abu Dhabi Customs, Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC)

Under the framework described by ADIO, ADDED will support economic activity while Abu Dhabi Customs oversees logistics processes at ports and manages import and export challenges. The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) has been assigned responsibility for ensuring supply reliability through standards, conformity assessments and access to qualified suppliers. The platform leverages artificial intelligence to generate insights into supply chain and trade operations, enabling businesses and government entities to identify gaps, structure support requests, and connect with relevant logistics and trade partners.

Operationally, 7X will provide coordination across transport modes to facilitate the movement of goods linked to export and production inputs. The announcement emphasises that ADEED is intended to address potential disruptions by providing visibility and routed support across participating authorities and private logistics networks.

ADIO framed ADEED as part of broader efforts by Abu Dhabi to strengthen its position as a global trade and investment hub and to support long‑term economic growth in the UAE. By centralising requests through the chamber’s trade working group and aligning responsibilities across ADIO, ADDED, Abu Dhabi Customs and ADQCC, the platform aims to shorten response times to supply chain stress and maintain business continuity for companies operating in the emirate.

Looking ahead, ADEED’s success will hinge on uptake by private-sector importers, exporters and manufacturers, and on the platform’s ability to translate AI-driven visibility into rapid operational responses. If effectively adopted, ADIO and its partners say ADEED could reduce disruption risks and strengthen the resilience of regional trade corridors that underpin Abu Dhabi’s economic strategy.
