Abu Dhabi Chamber and Siemens sign cooperation agreement to advance industrial digital transformation

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has signed a cooperation agreement with Siemens to accelerate industrial digital transformation, smart manufacturing, innovation, sustainability and capacity building for private sector companies in Abu Dhabi. The pact was signed by Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Chamber, and Helmut von Struve, CEO of Siemens Middle East, on the sidelines of the UAE Investment Forum in Munich.

Context and details of the agreement

The agreement establishes a framework to translate Siemens’ global knowledge, expertise and advanced technologies into practical tools aimed at helping Abu Dhabi companies digitize operations, improve productivity and operational efficiency, and strengthen resilience across global markets and value chains. The memorandum specifically targets adoption of advanced digital technologies, automation, smart manufacturing solutions and Fourth Industrial Revolution applications.

The agreement was announced during a forum organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade, where the Abu Dhabi Chamber participated to expand international partnerships and connect the emirate’s business community with global companies and technologies. Officials described the move as part of broader efforts to modernize priority sectors including technology and manufacturing and to better position local firms for engagement with global value chains.

Looking ahead, the Chamber and Siemens will pursue joint activities to raise awareness of technologies that improve productivity and resilience, and to support capacity-building measures aimed at preparing Abu Dhabi companies for evolving industrial and market requirements.
