3C Coding School Raises $3 Million, Plans Entry into the Saudi Market

Egypt-based 3C Coding School has closed a $3 million Seed round led by MRG Economic Group, chaired by businessman Mahmoud Ramadan, with participation from businessman Amr Saad and a number of angel investors. The investment will bankroll the company’s planned expansion into Saudi Arabia, upgrades to its technology infrastructure and accelerated development of an AI-powered learning platform as it seeks to evolve from an Egypt-focused coding school into a regionally scalable technology education platform.

"The company plans to use the round’s proceeds to expand into the Saudi market, strengthen its technology infrastructure, and accelerate the development of an AI-powered learning platform," the company announced.

Founded in 2015 by engineers Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khalaf, 3C Coding School began as a provider of coding and technology programs for children and young people. Since then the company says more than 120,000 students have benefited from its programs and that revenues have grown by 230% based on company data. The school has broadened its curriculum to include tracks in web and app development, data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning, game development, cybersecurity and other technology fields.

  • Founders: Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khalaf
  • Lead investor: MRG Economic Group (Mahmoud Ramadan)
  • Other participants: Amr Saad and angel investors
  • Funding: $3 million Seed round
  • Reached: more than 120,000 students; revenues up 230%

3C’s educational model emphasizes interactive, hands-on and project-based learning aimed at developing logical thinking, creativity and problem-solving in addition to pure coding skills. The company has been positioning itself to serve multiple age groups and ability levels with tailored learning tracks and teacher support tools built into its course design.

The Saudi market is highlighted as a top expansion priority. 3C plans to establish a local presence in the Kingdom through programs adapted to local market needs, strategic partnerships and by expanding its student and customer base. Management frames the move as part of a deliberate strategy to build a business model capable of operating across several regional markets rather than relying primarily on Egypt.

Central to the company’s growth plans is the development of an AI-powered learning platform that 3C says will deliver a more personalized educational experience. The platform is expected to analyze students’ learning patterns and progress, personalize content and learning tracks, and provide tools to support teachers—representing a shift from a traditional e-learning delivery toward a scalable technology infrastructure aimed at reaching larger student populations across different markets.

With the new capital, 3C Coding School will focus on three simultaneous fronts: entering Saudi Arabia, strengthening backend technology, and accelerating product development of the AI platform. The combination of a regional expansion push and investment in adaptive learning technology positions the company to compete in an increasingly crowded EdTech landscape across the Gulf and North Africa.
