🧠 Natalia Birgisson's Flourish Health Raises $26M Series A to Support Youth Mental Health

Natalia Birgisson’s Flourish Health has closed a $26 million Series A round to expand its specialist mental health services for young people with serious, complex needs. The Colorado-based provider said the financing was led by B Capital, F-Prime, and Cherryrock Capital and will be used to scale a care model that treats children and adolescents who are often turned away by traditional systems of care.

“We built Flourish Health for the kids and families other providers are forced to turn away. With the right care team, the right technology and time to build trust, we’ve proven that kids in crisis can stabilize, recover and thrive at home, in school and in their communities. This funding allows us to bring that model to families nationwide,” said Natalia Birgisson, MD, Co‑Founder and CEO of Flourish Health.

Flourish Health was co‑founded and is led by Birgisson, MD, and positions itself as a provider for young people whose needs are not met by standard outpatient or inpatient settings. The company combines multidisciplinary clinical teams with technology and intensive, time‑based therapeutic engagement to support stabilization and recovery in home, school, and community settings. The new Series A follows a growing investor appetite for companies tackling complex behavioral health problems in pediatric populations.

The capital infusion comes amid a busy funding climate for health and deep‑tech startups. Large rounds announced in the same funding wave include Antares, co‑founded by Julia DeWahl, which raised $470 million in Series C financing led by Paradigm and Caffeinated Capital; Function Health, co‑founded by Pranitha Patil, securing $450 million in growth financing from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund; and Simile, co‑founded by Lainie Yallen, which raised $200 million in Series B at a $2 billion post‑money valuation led by Greenoaks.

Flourish’s approach targets a persistent gap in pediatric behavioral health: children deemed too complex for traditional outpatient clinics but who do not require prolonged hospitalization. By deploying care teams that can work intensively in communities and integrating technology to monitor progress and coordinate care, Flourish aims to reduce readmissions, keep children in educational settings, and shorten trajectories of crisis.

Investors leading the Series A—B Capital, F‑Prime, and Cherryrock Capital—bring a track record of backing technology‑enabled healthcare ventures and scaling clinical models. The participation of these firms signals confidence in Flourish’s clinical outcomes and potential to replicate its model at scale across the U.S.

Looking ahead, Flourish Health plans to use the $26 million to extend its geographic footprint, deepen clinical teams, and advance technology that supports care coordination and family engagement. As pediatric mental health demand continues to rise, the company will be watched closely for evidence that intensive, home‑and‑community‑based models can offer durable alternatives to inpatient care and long waits for specialty services.
